This is a local band who are doing very well around Sheffield and always manage to pull a crowd. The lighting in this venue was better than it normally is, having removed the yellow gels from one or two of the lights.

I know it's noisy, but i prefer it to an over processed noise reduction look.

Any comments and/or criticism would be greatly appreciated, written down and remembered for next time ;)

I love getting stage lights in shot, but i think in this instance it is a little dark around the rest of it. You can probably pull it up a little on the original?

Do you have any others similar? I love the concept, but IMO this one just isn't quite there.

Hi, i shot it with -1 exp comp, and managed only to pull it back to this without the noise getting to a point where even i didn't like it. Im sure a mono conversion would be more suitable if i was to pull it back up, but i quite like it this way.

Thanks for your time and your comment Shooter-boy :D

What noise? ;)
I like the light, but I'd crop a bit closer (loose the tiny light spot in the lower left), and maybe clone out the flare. A *bit* more lighting of the eye might be nice.

I like it , bit more light would have been nice. What kind of music do they do and where was it shot Broadwalk, Leadmill ?

It shows nice depth (even though there is a mike in his mouth)... It will make a great pic, (minus the little distractions in the lower left that Rene' points out) with the crop...

This gig was at The Boardwalk, which i really enjoy shooting in. The Leadmill's lighting setup for the last gig i shot there wasn't incredible, but managed one or two 'keepers'

I love that last shot! Looks like the shows over, everyone's gone. Got a lot of emotion, really well done. I respect the idea of leaving the grain vs noise ninja. Grain gives it tha natural film look. I like! Excellent work!
