These are beautiful, great job on the b&w conversion as well! These have a lot of "pop" to them, nice job!

Thanks, yea the first one got a bit blown in the conversion, but I liked the high key effect it had...:D
Ok, the long and the short of the PP is...I converted the mode to lab color, deleted the a and b channels, then converted back to greyscale, applied a black gradient, then a soft light mask...then tweak to your liking...

Nice, I love the high contrast, but I'm going to go against the rest of the crowd here and say that maybe you pushed the processing a little too much on these. You lost some black detail and you've blown some highlights. Try backing off just a little bit and I think I'd also like to see just a little graininess and not such smooth texture in these B&W conversions. Personally, I like to use some grainy film that I scanned in...Just something to try.
