First time I have seen these. I really enjoyed watching them.

Again, nice and sharp. Looks like it let you get pretty close. I've heard they are pretty tame.

They did not mind us much. We saw around 8 different pair's while we were out. There was a small trail that went by the one on the nest, but I did not want to stress them out. That is the only one that I had to crop more than I would have liked.

They are all nice and sharp, John, and my only nit is that you didn`t get vertical shots on the first and last images to include the whole bird.

Thanks for the comments. I didn't on the first because the reeds were right up to the point I cut off with the picture. However the last one I had the perfect opertunity and I missed it. I went to change the orientation of the ball head and I was too late, went behind trees. I had the perfect chance to with that one because the reeds were low there. That was right after he crossed the walking path bridge.

Thanks for explaining the working conditions you had at the time.
Those appear to be great subjects to photograph, John. Certainly worth a re-visit.
