Took a day off work today to head down to Brands to check out the A1GP practice session.

I'll be honest and say that when I first saw A1GP on TV I thought it was a bit Mickey Mouse...

These cars are the real deal running V8s with proper slicks and no driver aids. They're fast [lapping the GP Circuit @ Brands in 1m 16s] and VERY loud. F1 loud.

Anyway here goes. Kit is 20D, Sigma 70-200 or 120-300 (sometimes with a 1.4x EX TC). PP is limited to a batch resize and VelviaVision, and a light sprinkle of USM @ 200% and 0.2, some of them didn't even get that much.

Keeping in with tradition, what better way to start a thread than with a pan? Team GB exiting Druids

Takes some doing to get iron brake discs glowing. This is Team India

Team Portugal seem to clash a little with Dr Knobhead's panit scheme

Finally, keeping with tradition....what better way to end a thread with a pan? Team Malaysia's Alex Yoong gets the 1/50s treatment.

I'll get some of the other stuff that was in attendance today up later, I'm off for a lie down now in a cool dark room and a rub down with a used copy of Health & Efficiency.

Ahh thats the one.... i shall do my best , but hard to acquire permission when your the otherside of the fence wearing orange

but if the sun is out today and the cars are ripe , the urge is just going to get too much!

If I can shoot as great as that one day I will be very happy.

I need more practice, because I am not even close to that. Maybe it's the disposible kodak camera I am using....

Well i looked for a mad panner but all i saw was some muppet with a P&S (or POS ?) so i assume it wasn't you :D

I have to say, what a fantastic noise those A1GP cars make...nice to hear them bouncing off the rev limiter when the wheels spin too :D

Kept an eye out for you mate, think we drove past you, we were on our way out of Stirlings, you were on your way in. Was a grey Citroen C4 with the handbrake up
