Hi All,

Here are some of my shots from a wedding this past weekend. Amazing weather, with the wedding taking place at around 7:00PM Eastern Time. Great wedding, great guests, and no bugs! What more could you ask for?

I had some issues with shadows that I tried to address in post processing.

Comments and critiques are most welcome!

You nailed #1, great shot. 2 & 3 also very good, #2 i'd crop a bit. #3 i'd like to have seen you stand on something and shoot down so you fill more of the frame, and increase brightness. #5 is good, #6 is cute i'd crop so it's twice as long as high, or something like that. #7 & #8 are good. #7 straighten #8 give more contrast, both need color temp and brightness tweaks. Great work!

1 - Great capture. The colors definitely work well for it.
2 - Great detail shot. Again, I'm a big fan of the colors.
3 - Very nice. One of my favorites.
4 - I actually REALLY like this shot. I like how it shows the guests but in a very subtle way and then shows the (I'm assuming) friend speaking/singing/whatever she is doing. Very nice capture.
5 - Neat shot, shows the atmosphere and the location of the wedding. This looks like it was a very nice location
6 - LOL! I love this shot, this is great. Although, i'm not sure if I'm wild on the crop. I would prefer to have them looking into the frame - i.e. have htem on the left side of the photo.
7 - Fantastic shot. Great colors, great DOF. I do find the flowers immediately behind them a little bit distracting though.
8 - Nice shot, would like to see an increase in contrast a bit though. Seems a tiny bit flat and maybe a little underexposed.

All in all, you did a great job capturing the emotion and the atmosphere of the wedding. I would love to see some more.

Love the details on 1 and 2, great captures on 3 and 4, 5 shows the a little bit of everything. 5 needs better cropping and finally 6 and 7 are awesome, b and g's smiles are priceless oh and good vignetting on the last one, kind of concentrate on the b and g. keep up the good work.

Thanks everyone for your comments!

The crop on #6 is problematic due to wedding guests being directly to the right of the flower girl. I went with a much tighter crop for the final version given to the clients. It's still not what I would have preferred - but you can only work with what you've got. :)

Everything was tweaked on temp/contrast/levels before being handed over.

I mainly shoot product photography - but I've been wanting to try weddings, and have enjoyed them quite a lot over the past couple of months. I appreciate the comments and suggestions.

7 - Fantastic shot. Great colors, great DOF. I do find the flowers immediately behind them a little bit distracting though.

This is a crop of a much larger image. I worked up several variations. The window like effect on this version appealed to me. I had considered editing out (either completely, or by bluring) the flowers (and the preacher) - but, that was the set up. Going for a PJ style ~ I'm not sure it would be fair to edit out too much of the day's event. :)

This was to the west of Moultrie, at Gin Creek. I'm hoping to get the opportunity to shoot there again. Awesome location.

I keep hoping I can book something a Gin creek also. Its so pretty. Seems like every wedding I book is at a tiny backwoods church with no plants, trees or shade whatsoever.

You did a nice job with these. I like them.
