hello all. this here would be my first post on the forum, and i'm glad to be here. it looks like i have a lot to learn. well, as a frequent on g35driver.com i know a little about forum etiquette - but i'll keep it short and sweet. i am a full time student (freshman) at san diego state university and my life revolves around my car. prior to my rebel xt, i had a point and shoot sony dsc-w50, which i was quite good with. however, i quickly exhausted all of the manual features and got bored quickly so i decided to move on. so enough talk and on with the pictures of my g35.

My favorite shot. Gotta watch out for those shadows on your other pics though. Like this one...

ah, i apologize. as i was scrolling down the list of forums i saw mororsports as it comes before transportation. given the following description, i thought my pics fit here. i'm a mod on g35driver.com and know all about moving posts, it's a real hassle. so again, i apologize.
btw - this is the description i'm talking about:
Post all forms of motorsports related photos here. Includes cars to boats to planes - if it has a motor and you can race it, it belongs here.
i just figured - hey, my car has a motor. i can race it. i'll post here. the description never said anything about the pictures having to be of the car in an actual race or anything of the sort. (not trying to make excuses, just explaining my logic for posting here).
also, what do you mean by post limit? can you elaborate? i know it said i can't post more than 8 pics in one post, so i split it in two posts. was that wrong? again, i apologize. every forum has it's own rules, and i'm still adapting to these.

its 8 per thread not post... otherwise we would all post lots of pics by splitting them.. its to protect the servers from becoming bogged down and also remember some people are still on dial up Internet.. lots of pics take forever to download.
as for the wrong thread.. i know what you mean about it has a motor etc.. but your shots are more of a magazine style break down so fit the transportation better.
From forum posting rules
Allowed # of images:
In 'Photo Sharing' section:
when you attach images, you may attach max. two (2) images per thread
when you embed images, you may embed max. eight ( 8 ) per thread
In other forums:
you may exceed above photo sharing limits, but only if discussion requires it (e.g. lens test examples, more problem example photos, competitions).
Note that size limits apply to all forums.
Do not use the forum as your image gallery, post only the best of the best and link to the rest.
no worries dude// apart from those technicalities its a good shoot :)

heh, thanks bro.
btw, can you link me to where you found these rules? i found the below rules, but they mentioned nothing about posting images and limits. i know you're not making it up, because that would just be stupid to make something so elaborate up - haha. but i just wanna read up on the other posting rules. specifically, the size limit.
this is the rule page that i found:

man, even as a mod on g35driver.com..i feel like a noob to forums all over again.
ps - i ran a quick search and came up with nothing, go figure.

Great choice. My all time favorite wheels. My buddy has those on his evo IX. I would get a set but they are a bit to pricey for me :)

^^pricey? heh...yeh! broke the bank when i got 'em. at times, i regret getting them - thinking i shoulda gone f/i with that money. but realistically, i don't need to be fast...but lookin' good is always important, heh. so i just look at my car and all my regrets go away. ;)

haha thats how I am everytime I dump more money into my car. At first Im just super excited I got the part I wanted... then it turns into the "did I really need to spend XX amount on it though?" then I hop into the car and just drive and get back to... yeah, definatly worth it.
There are many F/I options available for the g35. PM me and I can give you my opinion on some parts.

Nice car. Clean, well done.
The only shot I consider decent is the very last. The other ones have way too much going on in the background, or the door panel is blownout something awful. You've obviously got the eye for positioning, etc. Just work on placement and environment, these shots could go from "meh" to brochure-worthy with some refinement.

Pictures look good. I especially like the engine shot and the last shot. The last one as a warm tone and overall the shadows are even across the entire car. I am also trying to learn car photography and its quite a task to take on. Love the car, always been fond of those.

you sure you don't want to go with a staggered setup? 20x8.5 in the rear is going to look pretty silly, imo.
what are the offsets going to be?
