Too cool..... Thats a seriously nice piece of equipment. Did you upgrade from another Canon digital? Did you notice that the vertical shutter release was really sensitive? I noticed it, but have pretty much grown used to it.....

just curious.....

I hear ya... Anyone who hasn't looked through a full frame viewfinder with a ~16 mm lens doesn't realize how much the 1.6 crop takes away.

Of course, to me, wide angle is anything under 100mm, so I can live with the 10D's crop :) The odd time I really need wide angle, I use my film SLR.

SnPhoto, So you have on too? I may need some advice with this thing (as soon as I learn how to turn it on    ) Its a little more complicated than my DRebel!

Jim, This lens is awesome. I am an architect and I can get an entire room in a photo from the corner...!!!

JC - Yep, I also have one and love it. You shouldn't have any problems getting used to it. Just remember to keep an eye on the settings. You have to pay a bit of attention to what the camera is doing for you, but you get used to that real fast.

As an old film guy who loved his 24mm lens, I can appreciate how you feel when you look through a 16mm with a full frame sensor. I have been yearning for a W I D E angle lens for my Drebel, and today should be the day I get my 14mm Tamron! :D :D :D

I am now lusting after a full frame, or even a 1.3 factor body.

Good luck with your 1Ds.

Congrats!! Now, that is a huge camera. I know you are going to love it!! I can just tag along with the MKII, the 1Ds would put me under completely.

Good luck and Enjoy!!
