What is the set-up and the equipment you used? One light?

#2 & #3 are getting there.I like the lighting on the last one but it isn't even over the full face. You will probably hear otherwise, but I find white backgrounds by far the most difficult to use. The lighting on them and the subject has to be right on to look really good so I've opted for a dark red for my initial practice. That way I can focus on lighting the subject properly first.

I dont think your lighting is a more the problem then the position of the subgect with respect to the camera

If you were going for a portrait style shot then #2 and #6 would have been the cream of the crop

The others dont catch my eye except #5 which has a bit of creative essence to it

If you were going to use the hat you might want to use a reflector and bounce some light upwards, removing the shadow under the hat and the eyes

Keep practicing

In fact i used one light as main [small softbox which supposed to be used as fill flash, and that backlight used as fill flash but tried to make it as backlight part of it, so with 1 light and 1 back light it is not perfect set up to use for these kind of shooting, too bad they didn't fix the rest strobes to get better lightings.

I will post set 2 and 3 or more later, just i want to learn all mistakes here before i post new shots.

Thank you very very much for those feedbacks.

I have another shots with black background and purple [bluish] background.
with one light it will be difficult to work for perfect portraits shooting.

one light as main light [which is small sofbox], and that backlight used as fill flash in some shots, and no reflectors so how do you expect to be the shots?
I will buy myself good lightings with background and reflectors then i will have another trials.

Just i will post nes sets later and i want to see if they are difference, just wait them.

Thank you very much.
they are not the best, i got better shots than these i will show later, but i want to see if those shots are good in poses [rather than exposure or color cast and so], and i tried to do something with less lack kit, but today now or very soon i will go to order lightings kit [locally story to order from outside], Hensel brand and it will take about 1 week to arrive so i hope i can get better results later and i will keep learning in those days coming, and i will post the rest of my studio tests soon.

I forgot to say that i will start to learn how to make portraits photos better with photoshop as cloning and healing and dodge and so, it will take long time and i know how to do but each photo need its own editing, i wish if you people know any software that can do healing and cloning with one or fast process or steps so then i don't take long time to do it in photoshop by normal ways.

I wish if i can get MU assistants and better models but that what i got and i learn with what i have available now, forgive me if those are non perfect pro as most here or you expect to see.

Good start Buddy. As for software, most including myself prefer some form Adobe Photoshop. I, as do others currently use the CS2 version.
