hope you don't mind, but i'm inserting the first version for comparison sake:

Before

Your new version is much better...the saturation of the red color on the car is much more natural and the grass also has a more natural deep green tone. Overall contrast is also better. Great work, glad the settings I gave you helped out.

P.S.: as for your question on white/black clip and gamma, i tweak those depending on the histogram and just by looking at what might help. the white/black clip settings won't change the image a ton, but the gamma will act just like the exposure slider when dealing with a RAW file.

No problem for posting the before version. It shows how much better the new one is! Once again your help is much appreciated! :D

Looks great. I think the rear wheel is a little overly dodged, but good HDR :)

I agree the car is a little dark. Perhaps if I had used more than 3 exposures I would have gotten a little better of a result.

San Remo rocks :D:D:D I rarely see other subarus in San remo!

I love san remo...the only san remo subaru i've ever seen in person was totaled last year.. R.I.P. :(

I tried HDR using CS2 and didn't like the results.
You are using photomatrix, yes?

Yep I used Photoshop previously and just trashed it right away. I really like Photomatrix! It is well worth the $99 USD or if you are a student in the US you can get a discount.

I gave the demo version a shot, and I'm really happy with the results. Much better than CS2. I can't imagine cloning out the watermarks everytime though, so looks like I will be investing in the full version.
