Looking at this through my lens, I sensed an unmet need. Something elemental which perhaps patience and a largeness of time might either create in or restore to this place. As I stood there I could feel some mystery, perhaps a human moment suspended against... What? An original wildness? Sometime in the past people scratched gashes into a primitive veneer. And nature is erasing them. It's her job.

Thanks Gord... I'm glad you understood what I was diddling with here. I sensed a foreboding mood all about this place. Perhaps it was the overcast sky? Or the building? Or the desolate country road at mid day? Even the tilled fields look ragged, don't you think? And in that light the colors seemed peculiar to me, so I went for that washed out effect without simultaneously going low contrast. It was all just a tad creepy.

I appreciate your reactions. It's cool the way that PP can tease out the mood you sensed when you tripped the shutter, eh? We have so many useful tools today versus all those film and wet darkroom days. It's pretty exciting.:)

As always Ted, I like your interpretations and creations. You have the artist's creative eye.
This one certainly does capture a feeling. Well done.
