Doing some rig shots for a friend.
I desperately need a wider angle lens!!

Well I have 3 Cullmann suction cup mounts, each with a manfrotto superclamp attached. I use these to clamp onto my tripod which I then stick to the car bodywork.
The shot is simple. A long exposure with the car rolling at walking pace. Ideally you want the engine off as it will cause vibrations. The longer the exposure, the more blur you get.
I then use photoshop to clone out the rig

Possibly. I might get an 8mm Penang for something different. Or maybe get a longer rig

you don't need a wider lens but you need to think about the shot abit more. a good rolling shot has a good background not just a huge load of blur with no defined subject.
