View Full Version : Prom Night - Part II - On a diet via PS3

I tried using my PS3 liquify filter to touch-up my recent Prom Night image. The one on the left is the original (after earlier corrections). The one on the right is the slimmed down version...pardon the pun. How do you like it? Any suggestions for future images? I modified the tummy, back, arm, shoulder, neck and jawline colors in an attempt to slim the model...like they do in the magazines. Thanks everyone!
See my http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=311724 thread for the original comments and corrections.
Edit: Go to http://www.jetboyphoto.com/touchup.htm to see a mouse over image that will show the before and after on a single image.

They look good. She doesnt need to be slimmed, doing so is almost like saying she's fat, but the slight modification does look good.

I think any slimming is nitpicky. That said, it's good to start practicing small and work up.

She looked fine sans slimming, but the effects you produced appear completely organic and untraceable.

Nice job using liquify. Her right arm is slightly bigger as expected. At first glance I couldn't tell what changes you made. Excellent work.

Good job in both images. The PS work looks totally believable, which is good in my book.

I agree. She looks great as-is. I only did the alterations as an exercise to learn new Photoshop skills. I put a page up that will let you mouse over the image and see the change happen right on the image. Go to http://www.jetboyphoto.com/touchup.htm to see it that way. It is easier to see the changes made. Thanks again for the comments!
P.S. The right arm does look wide at the bottom but I ended up cropping it for an 8x10 and it is not noticable. I may end up fixing that area for 4x6 prints later. Good comment!

My only critisiscm is the now fat seeming right arm other than that it looks good.

I checked the link. I didn't even notice how much of a change you made. The background and everything. You did a great job with the effects, looks completely natural.

Very nice work - she didn't need it - but the change looks real good. As mentioned the right arm looks a bit wide but wouldn't be noticed if you hadn't mentioned what you did.

Pretty girl.

Excellent work. I like how you handled the face/neck area.

Wow! I am very impressed, especially with the jawline! Looks totally natural. If I send you a pic of me, can you slim me down as well? ;)

The mouse over image effect to see the before and after was pretty cool.

The effect looks good but by doing so it made her right arm look very wide. A quick alter to that using liquify would fix that right up
