I have a group of fourteen to shoot on May 19th.

So I live around Nashville, and I am trying to decide 10:00 am or 6:00pm? Sun has been setting around 7:00 and I didn't want to make it too early in the morning for them, but there will be two teens, two six yr olds and a one yr old plus nine adults.

I also want to leave time for an shoot around 2:00 to 3:00 pm. Local parade for the Strawberry Festival in Portland....great local color shots.

My suggestion would be to do the group shot at 10:00 am rather than 6:00pm if the sun has been setting around 7:00 simply for the fact that you are shooting a large group and no matter how much you try to stay on schedule people run late dont get organized especially with the small children. if you dont do it until 6:00 you are not leaving yourself much room before you run out of natural daylight. That is just my opinion.

I agree. Also, the small children will be more tired at the end of the day, which will invariably make shooting more difficult.

thanks, I just needed to bounce that off someone. First time to shoot a group this large, other than a wedding and just wanted some good feedback. Thanks!!!!
