I could not resist throwing in a few shots, taken in Las Vegas, NV.
The first is at the Luxor Las Vegas, exterior on the side nearest Excalibur, @10mm, f/11, 1/100s, ISO100.
The second is at Caesar's Palace, in the shopping atrium, @10mm, 1/15s, f/5.6, ISO400. I had to shrink it more, probably because the higher ISO noise made the JPG larger.
I postprocessed both using DxO4 and resized them as needed with the Windows XP Resizer powertoy.

The good things in his photos are the composition, and by using filters he got the sky so blue, and for sure by using pol filter his photos are more vivid [contrast and saturated enough].

And before anyone else asks, it will work on:
20D, 30D, 40, Rebel, Rebel XT, and Rebel XTi --- I think there is something with how the 10D is built that EF-S lenses will not work... but some people "hack" it...
The 10-22 will not work on the 1D-series cameras OR the 5D...

Here are a few more from a recent trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. I took the first one at Midway Geyser basin in Yellowstone, 10mm, f/9, 1/100sec, ISO 100 with a circular polarizer (CPL).
I took the second at Jenny Lake in the Grand Tetons, 10mm, f/11, 1/100sec, ISO 400, also with a CPL.
I post-processed both with DxO 4.5, with default settings.

not really. probably until your battery gives up.
And your battery will last a long time with the shutter open. Once, with my 10D, I did a 20-minute exposure when the camera was already giving me a low battery warning at the beginning of the shot. It still had enough power for the full 20 minutes, though.
But, you probably wouldn't want to go much longer than about an hour. After that, you're probably going to end up with enough hot pixels to make the image unusable. The longest I have done was 40 minutes (with a 20D), and that took a little work in Photoshop to clean it up. I'd never use the in-camera noise reduction setting, especially on an exposure this long.

I got the 10-22 thinking I may have lots of uses for it, but I'm struggling to use it. Not sure why, in my film days I loved my 17mm. But here are a few shots. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it or send it back for the 17-40. I feel like it may be too wide for most of my personal uses. I don't really like that you have to basically be in the shot to get the shot. Sometimes I need to be able to keep my distance.

and i thought that film is full frame so 17mm is 17mm, but 10-22 on 30D or 40D is 16mm [1.6x crop factor], so how come that 16mm view focal length is too wide comparing to 17mm, i try to understand this statement but sure there is something i don't know in photography world [as i never used film before].

17 mm on crop has a FF FoV equivalent of 27 mm, 10 mm on crop has a FF FoV equivalent of 16 mm, even if it is only an EF-S lens.

I'm a Canon 10-22mm owner and love the lens. I don't have the links on hand but there are numerous threads that discuss and compare the Sigma 10-20mm and the Canon 10-22mm. If you search and hunt around for those threads you'll find a wealth of information and opinion.

I am another one who has had both at the same time and did some testing/comparisons. One was IMO just as good as the other, I kept the Canon just because I had a buyer for the Sigma with cash in hand and the $$ I could have banked to sell the Canon was not important to me at that time. In other words if money is not an issue and all else is equal I will always opt to keep a Canon over any other brand given the choice. The guy I sold my Sigma to brings it to shoots we do together sometimes and is 100% as happy with his as I am with mine. I am not considering doing a body upgrade except maybe to a 40D so that was not a factor, YMMV. You will enjoy playing with a 10mm lens for sure.

Sometimes i am confused which has better view or higher quality [not higher resolution], 5D+16-35L or 30D+10-22?
Really i miss this lens on my crop bodies, but what i did after i come over and over to this thread is to attach this lens on my 30D, then put the combo on an old tripod and keep in center of my room in front me, so i can see it and remember my past. ;)

If i were in USA, Canada, many parts in Europe then i will have 10 cameras dead with photos [over 10 millions].
Anyway, those shots are the only reason i want to travel, and hope my next station i can find those or similar.
