It's actually a HDR image of 3 exposures, was roughly 1/2 second looking at some of the RAW files.

looks very good - now THATS how an HDR should be done - so as we cant tell, yet it looks like a perfectly exposed image

erotic pie great shots, care to share tips on your b/w conversion?
I did the conversion in lightroom, basically convert to grayscale, play with the grayscale mix a bit, lots of contrast and some fill light, a little vignetting, and finally play with the split toning so it's not just a plain grey image

I actually made a template of the settings, it works well but you have to tweak it a little bit for each picture

Man, I can't decide between this lens and the Sigma 20mm. Using a 350d, so 20mm would end up not being so wide, but 10mm, mmmmm. But for low light street stuff the 20mm would be better. Just gotta decide how I want my refund to be spent.

Thanks a lot grizzy _ that was auto and I use center point about 99% of the time. Often I'll lock focus and recompose on hyper focal type situations.

You need to host them somewhere (flickr, pbase, photobucket, webshots, your own site, where ever). Then you get the images location (most sharing sites will have that in a line somewhere, or you can right click the image and choose "copy image location") and then past that into the window that comes up when you click this button: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/images/editor/insertimage.gif

The shots were taken with the CPL on top of the UV ( I know, bad mistake). When I view the shots in-camera, I couldn't see the vignetting. SO I carry on shooting. Not until I transfer the shots to my MAC then I saw the vignets. Now I just leave the CPL on the 10-22. The UV is out. So I guess no more dark corners from now on. By the way, I'm using the Kenko Pro-1 CPL which is very slim.

This lens is extraordinary. I initially purchased the Sigma 10-20, but eventually returned it because I got a dud copy. My first copy of the Canon is great, and I can't wait to go out and shoot with it.

Not sure what it's called, but it's in that area (PCH/Warner). Passed by there a million times and that was the first time I ever stopped by.

Yeah that is definitely Bolsa Chica. I go birding there once in a while, not to much there to use a UWA lens though. Nice shots.

I use a Hoya Digital Pro1 Circular Polarizer on mine a lot. From between 12 ~ 10mm you need to pay attention to the polarization effect as it can cause unevenness in the sky color. Quite often I've found that simply by adjusting the filter from full polarization will take care of this issue.

Just pay attention to what your seeing in the viewfinder.

Nice IR shots btw.
I assume those were taken with a Rebel 300D converted to IR?

EDIT: I just checked out your site and had no idea you could do IR shots like that with a simple filter!

canon build is slightly better, slightly 'faster' f-stop-wise, resale value is better (although i will prolly never need that) and has slightly longer zoom range

and, im a canon snob. i only buy sigma if canon have no equivalent (such as the 50-500mm)

This is one of the best shot i've ever seen from you so far, nice HDR, but always i see the blue in the sky just right on the mountain borders seems has greenish or yellowish cast, and that what i got sometimes, why? any information about that?

sometimes a polarizer will do that or it was just a side-effect of the hdr

I agree, i got that issue when i shooted in a place where there are mountains around and the sky is blue, i see that cast in the photos, but i didn't use HDR, so maybe a polarizer, but i won't wonder if HDR will do that as well.

Thats why i don't have many good photos, i am not good in layers things and i hate to try doing it many times and masking and dodging and so then i have to go back in some steps to fix things.
And don't worry about my comments, you shots are truly amazing as always, you making me to think badly go back to my 30D and 10-22.
