I upgraded from a cheap 35mm camera to a G7, and I'm a digital illiterate. I've gone through the 168 page User Guide and find there's no legend for all the abbreviations. I'm interested in the special shooting modes, specifically aquariums. How in the world do I get there? I could not find anything in 168 pages on the 13 special shooting modes. The only reference I can find is in the specifications on page 152.

I want to do only four specific things with this camera: take pics of my fish in their 300 gallon tank; action shots--waking boarding in very bright sunlight; short wakeboarding clips; and pics of my former classmates at our 40-yr reunion this coming weekend. I need to find that aquarium mode because the flash is bouncing off the tank walls. I can only take pics at night, because there are too many daylight reflections on the tank walls during the day.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Susan

Hi Susan -

Welcome to the forum.

You select the SCN mode and then you turn the rear dial until the lcd displays the aquarium mode.

Hope that helps

The aquarium mode is fabulous. I woke the fish up to try it out, so they're a little pale right now.

Thanks again.

Nice shot by the way.

Those Red Belly's are huge! If I remember right, that Oscar in the background is a female.

I'm an amateur G6 owner and I'm curious if there's a way to simulate the Aquarium setting with my model?

Best Regards,

Chris
