View Full Version : 500D on S3 IS?

Has anyone here used this lens on the S3 and have sample pics? I own the Raynox dcr-250 but I'm starting to get tired of its ridiculously shallow dof. The 500D isn't as powerful as the 250, but the dof appears to be more manageable at least based on the sample at Lensmate.

Yeah, there are several discussions, but so far not one of the ones I've seen, including the one you sent, show sample pics with that lens on an S3, which is what I really want to see.

i searched on google, but there are only reviews on the 500D lens. where did you purchase yours? i have found it on ebay, but im skeptic on lenses from ebay, especially those from hong kong

Nice pics, especially the water drop. How far away, on average, were you from the subject in those?

I would never buy a lens on Ebay, NEVER, especially from Hong Kong. I would use either B&H photo, Lensmate, or Adorama.
