So as far as i can tell, this lens is for some type of x-ray machine or something. My mom found it and sent it to me thinking i could use it. It threads on via about 22-25mm threads and has about a 1 1/4 inch knob coming out of the zoom ring. it says on the lens "Canon TV V6x18 18-108 1:1.6" so i know it is a 18-108mm lens with a max f-stop of 1.6, but am not 100% sure of its use.
Is it worth anything? i found one kind of like it that was a f/2.5 lens selling for $190, so maybe ill get lucky :)

Well, I'd imagine it's a video lens. The video zoom lenses are super fast.

It's a C-Mount lens for a security camera.
The 6 x 18 refers to the focal length i.e. 18mm on the wide end, with a 6 times zoom.
1:1.6 is the maximum apeture i.e. f1.6

It's certainly some sort of video lens...definitely not for any still photography, as far as I know.
If we could ever figure out how to get those to work properly on a DSLR, they'd be awesome.

But video lenses are made to cover a much smaller image circle (sensor.) Easier to go the other direction, convert a 35mm lens to video use.
