My wife actually took this so the S3 IS was on Auto Mode. Nothing fancy but it's a cute picture nonetheless.

Title: Sleeping Beauty in Dream World
Camera: Canon S2IS
Comments: This effect was created by the sun shining through the defroster in our car's back window. It created a "dreamy looking image." The picture has been cropped and run through Neat Image.

Thanks to all the participants. There are some very good photos here and in fact I was having my hard time to judge and choose an outright winner  ! But don't worry, here we go...
1st : Tucker-ed Out by Formulated_One
2nd : Little Red Sleeping Hood by t-bonestahl
3rd : Dum Dum by snowrdr
More detailed comments on each of the photos:
ib2loud - Sleeping Tracker : It was a very cute sleeping kitty indeed but composition and the right shooting angle will certainly make the shot looks more interesting. I wish I could see the whole picture where both you and the kitty were asleep :D
dann26 - Guardians : I think it's a time for you to consider installing ultrasonic intruder detector or some sort of security devices since both of your guardians always fell asleep at night. At least they should take turn to take a nap :p Another nice entry, but I notice that the one in front was slightly out of focus.
Formulated_One - Tucker-ed Out : I can feel that your 'tucker' was in a dream land. Great composition and great lighting.. The shot was very sharp too. Hopefully, you didn't felt asleep as well while laying down to take the shot.:p
t-bonestahl - Great lighting and composition, I felt like looking at a cover page of a fairy tales story book. But, by looking at your sis's face, the expression wasn't convincing enough... is she really asleep ?
turboflame - Let a sleeping cat lie : Nice cat you have there, I personally like a cat but arrgg.. my wife didn't ! Another great shot... just like it.
mishnogram - Sleeping Fergus : wow.. nice puppy's shot with great lighting but I wish you could have done it better in terms of composition. That white metal cage (correct me if I'm wrong) distracting me.
snowrdr - Dum Dum : I was smiling along the way while looking at your shot :D . Your subject really gave me an expression that it was there sleeping all day long. Your entry could have win this challenge if you gave it a color saturation enhancement touch which will certainly make your subject more appealing and contrast against the busy surrounding background.
cmos_censor - another sleeping pet : Nicely done, great PP skills (since I didn't notice any cleaning/cloning spots in your shot). I wish you should have not cropped it too tight !
Edd S - Sleeping Beauty in Dream World : Nice shot Edd, great lighting effect too. But the background really distracts me, some PP to blur or darken the background will make this shot more interesting I believed. Btw, I hope you did stop your car to take this shot :p .
drocpsu - Two Elastics : Nice shot drocpsu, nice composition and great lighting too (I believed it's a natural morning sunlight ?).
benarnold - I'm trying to sleep here : I know it's not that easy to persuade your cat to go to sleep... haha, but you must be patient.. you should have waited a little longer. At least until you've finished your breakfast so your hand would be more steady while holding the camera thus produced a shaper image to show us here ... he he just kidding, nice try... a sharper image will certainly make your shot looks great.
Ok folks ! that's all from me... sorry for my bad English  , it's my 3rd language though !
Thanks again for contributing to a fun and exciting challenge. Remember, these are just my opinions and the thing that really counts is how these photos speak to you personally.
Thank You..... over to you Formulated_One ;)

Congrats to the winners. I really liked Little Red Riding Hood also. The contrast and texture of the blanket on the dark background was really interesting to me.

Abyss, thank you for the first place vote..!
I have alot of shots of my dog "Tucker", but this series was one of my favorites.. I was glad to be able to use it in this contest..Being part Jack Russell, its hard to catch him when he's resting..
Congrats to t-bonestahl, and snowrdr..!
T-Bonestahl - love the color, and the blending of backround into the cover.
Snowrdr - This photo made me laugh, cats can find the strangest place to sleep..
Some of my other favorites:
