Ultimate Frisbee South Regionals

Took these with my new 70-200 f4. I absolutely love this lens. Normally I'm out on the field playing but we got knocked out early so I had a chance to snap some pictures of the other teams. I had a hard time getting the exposure right because the bright sun would hide behind a cloud throughout the day. Comments welcome, enjoy!

#1 This is my captain Jeff Cohee making a towering grab over his defender. My team "JujiTSU" didn't make it far in regionals against the big division 1 schools.

I love 3 and 6, I didn´t know this sport existed! If dogs could compete I think mine would win a gold medal!

Best sport in the world. I'll be playing for Lewis and Clark next year, up in Portland.

I'd love to see a dog running in a stack.

Nice pics... I miss playing this sport all the time I played in college and traveled all around for tourneys. I wish I could put a team to gether around here, great sport. Also I always found that panning looked really good with this type of sport.

I thought that ultimate was pretty big in the east so im sure there are lots of club teams to choose from. I've tried to do panning but can't really find the right settings to get the look I wanted. Any pointers?

Thanks, it's definitely a fun sport with many oppurtunities for pictures. The mens colorado team is favored to win at nationals this weekend, you should convince her to go there!

Wow thanks. Someone told me today the "centers" for Ultimate Frisbee were Boulder and Portland. Not sure if that is true or not.

I'll see if I have some keepers and if so will post them. They came in 2nd in State BTW.
