I'm guessing radiator on the tray therefore more ground clearance

Well that particular vehicle was running in the Outlaw class which is basically anything goes (so there are no rules that the vehicles have to be built around) the Competition rules actually state that the radiator must be in the front engine bay, but there are huge advantages of having the radiator on the back e.g. more engine cooling

That and/or the ability to mount a much larger radiator and fans to help keep things cool during the extreme conditions of high RPMs and very little movement/airflow over the radiator fins.
Some nice pictures. Maybe a stronger zoom to get a bit closer to the action while staying out of the way of flying mud and machines, but still, some very nice pictures.
