I have a D30 and based on what I have seen others say I have never even attempted to shoot with it tethered. I have heard that it takes around 17 seconds for it to transfer a single image in tethered mode.

I am wondering if there are similar speed problems with the D60 and the 1D. I need to add a second digital camera to my arsenal since I am now doing more paid work and at weddings I would like for my wife to shoot digital as well instead of 35mm that requires processing and scanning to integrate with the D30 proofs. I would also like for the new camera to be a bit better suited to the sports (mostly gymnastics in indoor poorly lit gyms) shooting I do. I would love to be able to tether the camera to a laptop that would in turn be wirelessly networked to the computer at our kiosk so the images can be available for proofing without a runner having to come transport CF cards back and forth.
