Hello people,
I've read about other models encountering the "stuck controls"
problem (Ex: G2), but when my A620 encountered this problem, I
couldn't find anyone else with the same model who encoutered it as
well.

I tried a new set of batteries and turned the camera on. It worked
fine so I turned it off again. Then when I tried to use it, nothing
works! I can't zoom, I can't take pictures nor videos. I can't
browse through images! When I switched to "picture taking" mode, the
zoom automatically goes to the highest zoom, including digital zoom
which is 16x :( It stays there and does not take any pictures :(

This is really really inconvenient and I'm pretty sure the warranty
just expired, bad luck. But my main concern is what could be causing
this? Is this the same problem as other models (G2)? Has anyone
excountered this? How did you resolve it?

I want to be properly informed before I go to the service centers
so I have some idea how to deal with this and the (probable) proper
solution.

Please help :(

Do any controls (Menu, Func. Set, Display) work? Have you tried pulling all the batteries and then turning it on, leaving it on for a while and then re-installing the batteries (it may take a while to recover from having the back-up power supply drained)?
