So I didn't want to post this on the Macro forum and get all those insect guys in an uproar, but this is pretty much their bag.. Well, minus hitting these insects with miniature pies.
Real or Fake, pretty odd.

That is really good, and funny too.

Wow... that's cool... but the physics seem off. Something that small doesn't feel like it would shatter like that. Pies splatter because they are structurally weak for their size, but scale it down that far... it seems like it should just bounce off the bugs.
In any case, that is an awesome video. I think you should post it in the macro forum. You may find that most of us macro guys don't bite ;).

Very effective BUT I doubt the physics also.

Very interesting. It certainly didn't look like CGI, so I'd interested to know how they did it.

It looks like the big bugs were hit with the actual pies, the smaller ones were hit with plain drops of liquid/cream.
As if being an insect wasn't hard enough? :)

I like the Macro guys, I just stay out of the Macro forum during the spring months, I'm not a fan of extreme closeups of insects personally. Don't know if I just don't fancy bugs enough to look at photos of them, or the fact that I don't understand how you guys find these things around the yard let alone get them to stand still enough to shoot an extreme macro of them. Maybe both? :)
