Apparently it's a mix, as Canon´s Chuck Westfall said it will be difficult to upgrade to E-TTL II actual E-TTL cameras with only a firmware upgrade.
My educated guess is the 10D sucesor will be E-TTL II capable, because the new Elan 7En/EOS 30v (the upgrade of the film 7E/EOS 30) is already E-TTL II, and it´s the film equivalent to the 10D (except for eye control).

Could be a Canon 10DII, right ?
But, will be that new camera at the same price of actual 10D(1) ?

Probably lower!. Every "consumer" Canon DSLR since the D-30 days improves the previous model with a less expensive one. So I hope for a $1000-1200 10D sucesor (probably the Digital Elan7E/30D?) with E-TTL II and ECF (eye controlled focusing), to compete with the D70, probably at Photokina later this year.
