Done a show

So how many people here have done a art show kinda thing?

I just had mine last night and the images are on display for the rest of the month(featured artist and all that). I have to say as a amature photographer it is stressfull up untill the moment they let them in the doors. I was fortunate that I had a bit of help, Free beer, Margaritas, some food, A live band, and my images made it for a very fun Night.

I highly recomend doing at least one show in ones life time they are a lot of fun. It also dont hurt that Portland, Or. has something called First Thursday where the pearl district hosts a lot of artist and what have you. :)

So how did some of the other shows or how was your exsperance with the shows in your neck of the woods?

Art shows are a great way to network within the area. Keep a few framed pieces handy as some may sell and the space may need filled or the gallery may call asking for some work to showcase a local artist from time to time.
