It seems that there are different USB protocols arround, and for G7 and many other cameras, it uses PTP pic transfer protocol.
While usb key and the likes uses MSC massive storage dev class...
I wonder if anybody managed to use G7 as a card reader in XP... (by installing some driver may be?)

I've had the same problem with no avail. If someone has an answer, it would be greatly appreciated. G6 here. My particular problem was adding a couple photographs to the camera card reader through the camera so the photo printing company could print all the images in the card.

Why not just buy a card reader?

I would never think of using a camera.
I usually burn a disk to get things printed. in fact to get multiple prints it easiest to jut put the image on the disk more than once.
You can do just the same with a card reader and card.
The less you use your camera as a general purpose devise, the less chance that things will go wrong with it.
