Fish ID.

I shot this fish on a recent trip to Cornwall, the guy threw it back after I took the shot. Any one got any idea what it might be, the guy thought it was some kind of Scorpion fish but he wasn't sure.

Looks like a scorpion fish to me, but its one of the reef stone fish rather than a volitans. Cant be really sure but its definitely from the scorpionfish family

These guys have a pretty nasty sting, dat fisherman sure knows when to use his towel :p

Some sort of scorpion fish. That's why I don't go fishing with my family...it's all I ever catch!

Well I guess the the guy that caught it was right with his original thought, some kind of Scorpion fish is as close as it gonna get.
