Hello!!

Hello all. I am new to this forum and thought I should introduce myself properly.

My name is Melody I am 23 and married with 3 kids! My kids keep me very busy, but are also my favourite subjects in photography.

I am only very new to photography but am having so much fun learning!

At this stage I just have a Canon 400d with the kit lens 18-55mm. I hope to add to this soon, but need to get better with what I've got.

I am from Australia so if there are any Australian specific groups around please point me in that direction!

Look forward to getting to know you better and being inspired by all the wonderful photo's out there!

Welcome Melody, I'm sure you will enjoy the forums, great bunch of people here but if your just starting out stay away from the lens part of the forum. It gets scarey in there and your wallet will runaway lol. There are heaps of good reads in here and a ton of good info/advice, take your time, practice & then do more practice but most of all keep it fun. It comes so much easier to you when your enjoying things and don't be afriad to post your pics or ask questions.

What type of photography are you into mostly Melody ?

Hey Wayne. At the moment I pretty much just muck around with my kids in the loungeroom, so I'd very much like to get into portraiture, but since being on here have been seeing AMAZING landscape pics so would also like to dabble it that!

Cool, well I've not done much portrait work (or landscape for that matter) but if I can be of any help feel free to ask me anything. I'm always happy to help where I can, if your extremely new to photography I might have a book on the basics I could lend you. Theres lots of amazing pics here of evey type lol, if you want to know anything from anyone just ask them. Most folks here are a great bunch and are normally willing to share and help where they can.

Thanks you for the kind remarks about our images, I really need to put alot more up which I am lol just alot slower than I had planned to do them.

All my animals ? No, not at all. I have a dog which I don't think I've even taken a shot of to share (I'm slack lol). I do have 4 raptors in rehab at the moment but I've not taken any shots of them as yet. Those shots on the website are for the most part either wild birds or some from sanctuaries. I was doing alot of photography for wildlife groups and wildlife sanctuaries last year. Are you into birds at all ?
