No! I would have to drive over two hours!! It is insane how little this town is. So with the waste of  gas:evil:, just to take one or two orders I would not be able to make anything. Esp. with Gas being $18.00 a gallon.
You pleople always nick pick about little stuff, although it might not have to do with the topic, it still has to do with this forum. Always remember....the title has to do with what you are talking about.

Not sure why you want to bash other users who try and follow proper forum etiquitte for 'nit picking'. If everyone just put TITLE in for the subject without any real detail of what the thread is about, it would sure cause others to waste a bunch of time. This is why it's a good idea to make your Subject Title specific enough to give others a good feel for what the thread is about.
I know I 'nit picked' about you typing in ALL CAPS in another thread. All we are doing is trying to keep this forum a great place for others to give and receive information. If you are a special member, above having to follow the guidelines a mass majority of us follow, then I apologize.

Why do u even feel the need to write that Gator? If I feel like bashing anyone I will let you know.....Thank you for telling me a good place to get pictures printed though..... Your opinion is ALWAYs helpful.
To everyone that actually told me place thank you. Seems as though there are not many places on the web that do "professional" just trying to keep people from stealing your work is a task in one.

There are probably hundreds of places that provide professional level lab services but don't care to take on the national perspective such as mpix or wcch has.
It is a process of being friendly with Mr. google and hunting them down and trying them through a process of elimination. I use a lab in Canada which has three locations which serves both the local markets and being an excellent provider of long distances services. I don't have a decent lab within a reasonable driving distance from me. I found them via an internet search and then going through my normal testing routine. This involved spending some time and money by having them do the same print at different sizes and then repeating the process a couple of weeks later. In addition to this lab I also use another lab half way across the country that does not bill itself as as a national service. A "mom&pop" type of lab can be just as professional as someone like mpix.
You didn't say what you were looking for in a lab. To many, Costco provides professional services and in alot of cases while others may feel that mpix fits the bill for them. So what does a lab have to be to fall into that "professional" billing in your opinion. Does a lab that only prints up to 16x20, for example, but does an outstanding job of what they do do, are they professional in your opinion. In order to solicit the answers that you want on here you need to clear on what your objectives are. To come in and say that we (collectively) nit pick about things is not going to get you your answer and I am at a loss as to why you would even put that statement in here. We have alot of members that commit a tremendous amount of time to providing assistance here. If you start out your time here by doing this and putting forth misleading titles you run the chance of having your posts ignored or passed over.
Finding a lab that meets your criteria is one that can be very easy but you have to be prepared to put some time investment into the process. While it can be important to solicit the opinion of others, for me, there is nothing like trying them and forming my own opinion. I wish you luck on your search. I would still like to understand what a lab has to be/do in order to meet your standards of "professional".

1. Gas isn't $18.00 a gallon. Yet.
2. If you only ever do small jobs every so often, check into getting your own printer. Sometimes it's more expensive per-print BUT you don't have to justify shipping costs added to the order (if applicable) and you can get instant gratification. A good printer can give you professional quality results if you do it right.
3. If you still want a lab to do it, whcc.com, elcocolor.com, mpix.com, snapfish.com, fotki.com, costco.com, walmart.com. Lots of options, depends what your requirements, expectations, and budgets are.
4. No need for the attitude. You're not me. :) :p

There's a TON of threads on here about pro labs, all you have to do is search. The title has nothing to do with the actual question, and the question itself just shows you didn't search around first. Not saying I ever posted without searching (oh I have), but this question is VERY common....and the answer in my opinion is Exposure Manager, noone has come close in my product tests.

We use WHCC.com, MPIX, and Millers depending on the order, and my mood at ordering. All three are phenomenal. (Millers is actually MPIX's parent company and pro division - also more expensive than MPIX).

I have used prolabexpress.com before and been very happy with them. Their proof books are really nice, shipping is free if your order is $15+ and you can mix paper types which you can't with others (ie metallic/glossy/lustre) which can be nice if you have a smaller order with varying types. Shipping is fast as well and they also offer press services, gallery wraps, acrylic mounts, and aluminum mounts. And, they do a super job of packaging your prints for shipping.

I've used Printroom.com for about two years and would recommend them if you need to post galleries and let people shop and buy online.
Optionally, only thumbnails are uploaded, which means you can have a ton of stuff online. It also allows me to do very fast editing to get the thumbnails uploaded fast, then go back when an order comes in for any particular image (and I know what size is wanted) to do a proper crop and perform any final tweaking. This saves a lot of time and trouble doing full resolution work on all the images in my galleries.
Probably other services work the same way. And, there are other features of Printroom.com that I don't use, which you might.
