Least shutter lag?

I'm looking to purchase a new small digital camera. I'm used to the speed and quality of my dslr. The most frustrating thing to me about smaller cameras is the shutter lag. Does anyone have any reccommendation as to which is the best model for this?

Do a search in the forum on SHUTTER LAG and you will come up with probably heaps of info. I have the G7 for a take everywhere camera and I think the shutter lag is probably up there with the best BUT , keep in mind none will come near SLR's.
