I set up my own box with the lights and where can i find white and black paper for it?
Also when im using black paper do i put black on the sides?

What's this for? A light box? A soft box? What kind of lights are you using?

Pretty much any art store will sell black paper. You may want to consider black fabric or even black velvet though as the paper may be too shiny.

Do you mean on the sides where the diffusing paper is? Unless you're planning on shooting with a really wide angle, you shouldn't need any on the sides. Usually the background is enough. If you still do want to put it on the sides, just cut your background wider than the back of your box so the sides fold around. You may need to cut a slit at the bottom to avoid ugly creasing, but it should work.
