Challenge #118 - Sleeping
People, pets, wildlife, inanimate objects. Whatever seems to be at rest. Photos will be judged primarily on unique or remarkable lighting and composition, not necessarily on humor or scandal.

Winners:
1st Place: an33sh, "Sleep Little Baby" (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=3176128&postcount=3)
I love this shot. The lighting is great, and the duotone color really adds a nice feel. Great work.
2nd Place: Boutty, "Just a little siesta" (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=3182230&postcount=5)
This little fella is really adorable. The time of day and his location are almost absurd, which makes it quite funny.
3rd Place: rpolitsr: "first dreams" (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=3169132&postcount=2)
You have the skill to make even family album photos looke captivating. Great job!

Contest closed. Thanks for posting, everyone.
Congrats to the winners.
Additional comments:
Maureen, great shot! I have to ask, though... Was there a little help in setting this scene? ;-)
Marie, how scandalous! That fella couldn't have been thrilled to see that shot. :-)
BottomBracket, it took a few seconds to get that one, but what a hoot! It occurred to me that my mother is famous for looking like that in photographs. Some have it, some don't. :-)
Thanks again, everyone. This was a fun week.

Congrats to an33sh & rpolitsr for their so moody and sweet photos. Thanks rowdyred94 for another interesting challenge and the 2nd place.
I was forbidden to take photos of my kids when they were sleeping. The little monk in Nan Tien temple (http://www.nantien.org.au/) came to the rescue. ;)

Congratulations an33sh and Boutty. Thank you rowdyred94 for the third place.
It helped me because I thought that the joy of been grandfather may impair my capacity of judging my own photos of the grandson. :o
Interesting submissions, I enjoyed mainly Boutty’s and marie’s entries.
I already commented elsewhere that marie can show us ‘natural’ poses no matter what people is doing in her photos. I enjoy them!

Hi friends
Boutty was the host on challenges 109, 111, 115 and 117 in the last few weeks.
On challenge 117 he did the duty of 3Dart, now, an33sh should be replaced. That is a lot of work!
Boutty PMed me four hours ago:
G'day sir rafael,
It seems I am the next in line the weekly challenge host again?!? I will be a bit busy this weekend and am running out of interesting idea of one. Would you like to take up this honour sir?
I can not contact Boutty now, but I can help, if you agree.
I can post a new challenge in the next few hours.

Congratulations to the placers, and to Rowdy for an interesting challenge!
Rafael, I think it is generous of you to take up the slack. I agree that John (Boutty) has pulled quite a load for us these past weeks. I have no objections to you hosting the challenge. I say go for it, time's a wastin'! :)

And cheers to my big brother Pio (BottomBracket) for your understanding. :p I' ll be extreamly busy at work these couple of weeks try to finish a project; like the little Buddhist monk, I need all the sleeps I could get.
