This little dude was tough. Although he looks happy in the picture, he wanted nothing to do w/ the camera. He wanted to run and be free, like every 18 month old!!

I really like this picture, but more importantly, his Mom is NUTS about it.

Please....tell me what you think...good and bad. I know there are things I could have done to make it better. I tried a little more contrast, but it didn't look right.

Hi, I think the tone is fine, however i would crop the lower part of the picture to fucus more to the hands as the title of your pics. Cheers.

Nice capture with good tones. Slightly dark though. A touch of fill flash would have helped.

I always look at B&W in terms of tonal range, that is, the number of shades of gray between pure white and jet black. In your image, I see nice solid black, but the tonal range does not extend to pure white. You could improve the image by making some adjustment for that. In other words, a small highlight or two in the boy's shirt should be pure white. If you have trouble judging that, use your histogram!
