I'm trying to shoot some local protests and demonstrations since I live so close to DC. The only problem is that I find out about the marches and demonstrations a day too late. Usually on the news that night. Is there a resourse that I can use to find out about these things ahead of time? The two things I'm trying to shoot the most are anti-war and anti-racisim protests simply because of the emotion involved.

Google "anti-war and anti-racism protests" to find their websites? (Note the spelling.) ;)

I did that but all that came up was coverage of past events.

I have wondered the same - I found a site called protest.net (no joke) and they have several listed -- seem to be mostly in the larger communities...which makes sense...but still looking around.

I just Googled 'protest march washington' (without the quotes for a broader search) and found several organizations' sites that list coming events/protests/marches.

You could even call them to get more details, I am sure the would not have a problem telling you stuff. Your pictures will just get there cause out there to more people. :D
