Nice...makes me miss home. Well, ok maybe not, but it did make me miss my childhood days fishing off Santa Monica Pier...
Maybe try straighten out the image? Or similar composition but portrait (vertical) orientation? Regardless, nice image and thanks for the memory...

I'd say try straightening it, but alas, it's not all that sharp. Though I do see artifacts too, so that could be because of the compression. I like the composition.

Full marks for seeing the shot and capturing it, but as deletedpenguin says, there is really bad stuff going on with image compression here that makes commenting on other stuff a little difficult.
