hi

I have seen this lens advertised, used - but can find no mention of it on the Canon site.

Any users with opinions on this lens? With a 300d?

Mmm... that's an old one. Apparently it was only marketed for a brief period in the late '80s. There's some mention of it here http://www.photozone.de/2Equipment/canonFAQ.htm#200L. Personally I have never seen one.
