Hi everyone. All help would be greatly appreciated.

I used to have a photography studio, but realized I didn't need it so much. Now I will be doing my shoots in my clients homes (prenatal, family, portrait). I have never done this professionally, and have never had to bring any lighting, backdrops, stands with me to a client's home. My shoot for my clients is in a weeks time and I'd like to be prepared. Any suggestions to make it simple and less time consuming. How many lights, backdrops, stands.. if any, should I bring with me. I'm shooting a family of 5, and what my shots to be very candid and unique for this family.

Thanks!

I just started collecting pieces for a portable studio to take to friends and families houses for fun shots. I'm getting 3 alien bees and already have the Savage portable stand that came w/ a free roll of white paper (check adorama..its about $110 dollars) It has a great telescoping t-bar that doesn't require you to build the top section and it also allows you to make minute adjustments to the background. i use a green muslin (for those PS background shots) and a white cotton muslin.

If its for fun now, then you probably don't want to spend too much and set-up is as budget as I think it can get short of going to Home Depot to make DIY lighting ;)
