I just purchased the lens and it arrived today from BH. I was just wondering if anyone else who has this lens has experienced the lens hood fitting VERY tightly. I was wondering if this was common with this lens...is there anyway i can get it to slide into place more smoothly so there isn't so much wear on the hood mount??

Mine was extremely tight too. After about a dozen times taking it off and on it seems to be a little looser but not really. I guess that means that you just won't lose it...LOL

Congrats, when I had mine, the hood was very tight, after time it wore down and got easier to deal with
