I like both subjects... the second one offers more colors and requires closer scruitiny...

Thanks! I did shoot some shots laying down, but these were actually shot directly from the top.

The first one is beautiful. I like how you've filled the frame, making it appear like a geodesic dome. The dandelion blurs out nicely at the top, and it would have been nice to complete the symmetry at the bottom.

I like the colours of the second, but it's a bit busier.

A couple more nice dandylion shots here SYS. Do you have Goats Beard in your area? It is also called Salsify. They are like overgrown dandylions. I will post a few pictures of them in a new thread. I love the symmetry in your 1st picture. Great job.

Thanks, Dale. I live in Colorado Springs, CO, and I haven't seen Goats Beard in this area (but then I have only just begun taking pictures of dandelions a few days ago, so I haven't been out carefully looking at these things except to kill them in my yard). I had to google to see what Goats Beard or Salsify look like, and I don't recognize them with very distinct features. I'd love to see your photos of these.

Here's another set of dandelion photos but from a very different angle. I'd appreciate your thoughts on these, as well:
