Was pleasently surprised when I saw this one on the walk home from the grocery store.

OK, now that I'm telling you that it's fake, do you think it looks real? Were you convinced? What made you think it was fake? Please give me all C&C!

OMG. My heart just sank!

Then on secong glance, for some reason, I just don't know that blood would flow that far at that slight of an angle? Maybe move the "body" a tad bit closer to the drain? Of course, I'm no blood flow pathologist. Nor have I ever played one on TV. :)

Blood, or any other fluid, won't flow uphill on its own. Since the drain is below the body (and the parking lot sloped that way), you'd expect that most of the 'blood' would naturally be towards the drain (or absorbed by the clothing) and not puddled by the feet.

At first, I was angry that you were "pleasantly surprised" to find this man dead. Then, when I read your later comment, I was relieved. I believed you at first, because the photo looks like you just grabbed your camera and shot (as your hands were shaking). Raw and gritty. I don't want to say "nice shot". That's like when you see a gory horror flick and then tell people, "That movie was so good." It just doesn't sound right;) How about... creative shot?

But on second looking, i noticed that you said it was a fake, onlt thing that made me think it coudl eb fake is that i dubt you coudl just capture it liek that lol.

Too much blood all around him and none on him, someone caught in an accident does not bleed without getting it all over him.

I think you have done very well in this shot. I have to say that I think some of the above comments are wrong about the blood flow and the amount up hill of the guy. I think you will find this is not blood but shadow from the flash, but I may be wrong! Nice setup though :)

I took it the same way you did, Ricky. We'll see if we're wrong, though;)

i like the shot but i did know it was fake the before i even looked at it, you opening comments gave it away:) But if i didt read it i would have thought it was real. Also the blood did look like it was flowing up hill to the drain. i like it though.

To me what makes it looked staged is his position. It doesn't look like he just dropped there. He looks posed. One leg should be bent weird and his right arm needs to be out more and flopped over looking. And I'm not sure if I'm seeing it right but does he have glasses on? If so, lay them near the body, not on him.

What makes it look fake to me is the positioning of the arms. When a person dies the body goes limp and the arms generally fall to the ground due to loss of muscle control. Arms across the torso would very likely not stay that way. Just my $.02 Otherwise, a very freaky and believable pic.
