I know this is prob not posted in the right forum, but i couldnt think of where this should go. However i am looking to see how you can joing CPS in the US.. i searched the forums, and i could only find stuff for Europe. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

To join CPS you have to be a working professional photographer. You have submit the following to CPS
I. WORKING PRESS:
. Three tearsheets of work published within the past year.
. A copy of current press credentials.
. A letter on letter head from editor or bureau chief stating your staff or contract position.
II. FREELANCE:
Canon understands that this is a broad category encompassing many different fields of photography. Therefore, please provide us with any four of the items listed below that best illustrates your particular field of photography as proof of eligibility for CPS.
Three tearsheets of work published within the past year.
. A copy of current press credentials.
. A letter on letterhead from editor or bureau chief stating your staff or contract position.
. Samples of studio letterhead, promo cards, brochures, pricelists,etc.
. Three samples of recent work.
. Two letters from clients stating they have used your photographic services within the past year.
. Two copies of P. O.’s, invoices, etc. from clients within the past year.
. Copies of current membership cards from professional photo organizations(ASMP,APA,APNY,etc').
COMMERCIAL /STUDIO:
. Samples of studio letterhead, promo cards, brochures, price lists, etc.
. Three samples of recent work.
. Two letters from clients stating they have used your photographic services within the pas year.
. Copies of current membership cards from professional photo organizations (ASMRAPA,APNY,etc.).

I think this was covered pretty well in another thread. It varies from country to country. In Canada your gear list would not make you eligible. The benefits vary from country to country as well.
What are you looking to get out of it?

i actually havent updated my gear list in a lil while :-)
i have my 5D and my 24-105 f4L also there, i am looking to get the lens rentals for different events i do, and also am looking for the faster service when sent for cleanings and so forth

Well I am looking to join CPS in Canada. But so far, I cannot find the web address to register myself. Could someone point me in the right direction?

thanks for the help, i contacted the CPS EMAIL, and they sent an up-to-date app form for me , and also answered the ?s i had.
