Think you'll find it in the cookery section of supermarkets- used in making icing.

Any chance of a box shot or something, so we know what we're looking for? I've been stumped by finding some of this as well.

Good choice for a medium...Oils have also been used for magnification in microscope work... keep plugging away at it... looks like a good start, with great potential...
someday, I'll get around to trying it...

I always thought of it as a pharmaceutical product...
By the way yakbut... Besides the fact that your idea is fantastic...I should mention that the images are real good with fabulous colors...
There is a little bit of monotonous symmetry, resembling a checker board... with the beads of glycerin spaced so evenly and proportionally...
However, I bet you were out to produce immediate results for posting here...Obviously you see the creative potential, you discovered... Run with it... before someone else does...
As you probably already know...LordV is the master of the "image in a beaded dewdrop" and a standard setter for the idea...The technique is fascinating and is gaining a steady following from admiring fans and followers... Personally, I'm looking forward to someday, trying something along the beaded drop reflection ideas...
