Well I am new to the studio shooting anyway..

I was looking at the AB Digibee package with a 32 X 40 softbox.

Would that be enough to get started and produce quality studio images, of course I am getting a paper background too..

Any suggestions on where to get the background and anything else let me know.

Looking at a white background..

I have 2 AB 400s and they work fine. You can do quite a lot with one light. I don't have a softbox yet but I have been using a shoot through umbrella. check out this thread I shot it with one AB400 no modifiers. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=315424
Not spectacular by any means but it will give you an idea of what you can do with one light. Another good investment is just a simple white bounce card. You can make them out of foam core to whatever size you need. Also check out this website to get an idea of how lights will act in different placements. http://www.photoworkshop.com/public/3D_rooms/lightcage/index.html

Hope this helps
