Taken for a llittle competition we have at work, I was stuck for inspiration on the theme (close up). Flowers and bugs were too obvious (and I don't have a "real" macro lens). Finally a spark of an idea and one warm lens later...

Maybe, but the theme was close up and I wanted to get close in on some detail. Maybe the question should be zippo alight, or not.

You may not have a 'real' macro lens, but that's awesome - I really like it. The level of detail you're getting is superb.

Thanks for the comments. I used the sigma 17-70 for this, the lighter was literally an inch and a half from the front element with a little more leeway to move closer. I've read a lot of posts questioning sigma's QC but I'm well chuffed with mine. I've cropped in to about 50% after straightening a tad and fiddled with the midtone slider in levels. Other than that no other PP.
