Only been able to get a couple of very quick pics lately, been off sick with this awful fluey type bug thats been doing the rounds. Anyway had a quick wander in the garden the other day for a few mins to grab a raindrop shot and saw this tiny crab spider on the roses. It was a little out of reach really so this is cropped at about 70% but it was a good pose.

and a quick rain drop shot on the dwarf lilac (stinks horrible but looks nice lol)

Nice shots, Linda.
What is the spider doing with the aphid? Holding it down and bite later?

Good captures Linda, hope you're feeling better soon! I'm also curious as to what the spider is doing with that Aphid.

Thanks for the comments everyone - yes, starting to feel much better thanks :)
I have no idea whether the spider is deliberately holding down the aphid or whether its pure chance it happens to be standing on it. The whole shot actually makes me laugh, with the look on the spider's face and the look on the aphid's face, makes quite a commical picture.

Both wonderful shots Linda :)- I'm really jealous of the crab spider- haven't found any white or yellow ones yet :)

Thanks everyone for your nice comments :)
Brian: I nearly missed it as it was quite small. I know there are some pale green ones as I saw a couple last summer but didnt get the chance for any pics, so I am going to be on the look out for more :)
