I was wondering if the 28-75mm tents to wobble, I just bought a used copy that wobbles like crazy and makes noise when it does, the lens is very sharp though it is supposed to be only a year old but seams like if it was much more older because of this problem, the appearance of the lens is good no scratches a all but the wobbling its driving me crazy, should this be considered a problem for repair consideration. please let me know you Tamron 28-75mm owners.

When I had one, I don't remember any wobbling. The barrel (I'm assuming is wobbling) maybe loose.

The focus and zoom rings on my tamron have play in them. I am not sure if that is what you mean by wobble though. It will make a rattle noise if I shake it around. There is some play in the extension when zoomed out as well. It was like this out of the box. Works perfectly though and is very sharp.

Wobble? Do you mean in terms of when zooming in and out, theres a bit more friction in some points than others, that it feels like it wobbles?
Because I get that problem with my 28-75mm. Its about a year old bought 2nd hand too. I presume its to do with the screw driven design of the zoom.....takes awesome pictures anyway!

The tolerances on this lens are not real tight and the barrel can 'wobble' a bit compared to something with "L" build quality. The lens will also extend when pointed toward the ground. It has a lock built in for a reason. But man can they take some awesome pics!

The focus ring is very smooth but the Zoom definitely has a play in it specially when extended, at around 70mm it actually stops you have to make a little bit of extra force than when normally zooming to make it go forward, is not stiff nor smooth is feels like lose and yet it has a play in it it also makes the rattle noise you metion if I shake it around.
I had the opportunity to test a new one a friend had his lens is stiffer and does not wobble but feels like it has the potential to, it looks like within time depending on the use you give it the zoom can get lose and develop a play in the extension when zoomed out eventually causing the lens to wobble. My concern is if this can cause any kind of problems in the future.
