EE photos won't show up

I have installed the EE photo album for our baby's photos on my website at http://www.boteju.com/album/

It installed easily, however the photos are not showing up (only a red "x" shows). I've checked the paths and everything seems fine?

When I run the path analyzer it says "default path not present" but I'm quite sure it is present!

Another thing I don't understand is how the thumbs work - does the program itself generate the thumbs or do we create the thumbs first and then upload them to the thumbs folder?

Please update to 1.5RC4.
Installer is in http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=29266
and some fixes in http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=30778

With EE 1.5 there are few possibilities:

1. ftp path and http path do not point to same folder in server.
2. image folders are outside www root so www server cannot access them.
3. typos in path, missing slashes (I've done this many times!).
