View Full Version : Pictures blurry after CCD Image Sensor Advisory Repair
10th of May 2007 (Thu), 23:35
I just received my camera back in the mail after I had it repaired by Canon due to the LCD screen displaying weird colors and due to the CCD Image Sensor Announcement that was posted. The LCD at least works now and there is an image that can be seen.
However, my pictures seem to be a lot more blurry than usual. I'm not sure if it's just my eyes, or they really are blurry. Could this type of fix make this happen?
Picture attached (sorry, it's 1.2M) for comments.

One side seems to be a bit blurry for some reason .. could it be just the sun ? I know it is not the best to take pictures during mid day ... the foreground and the righ hand side seems to be pretty sharp ..,.
how much did u PP ? did you select area for PP ?
am not experienced .. just from my observation .... IMHO

Kind of hard to say from a reduced-size version. It sort of looks like the plane of focus runs diagonally from the near left to the far right. Is that consistent at all focal lengths?

actually, the camera was in full auto and i was focusing in on the center of the waterfall.

I can only spot some softness on left hand side ... could be just a bit dirty or oil spill on that side ? might do a bit of clean ? maybe fine finger prints ???
just a thought ...

Call them up, tell them they messed up the CCD, and send it back in on their dime.

There is a reason that is why I am panicky if somebody wants to touch my cam :D

I'll contact them on Monday. The camera was taking really nice pictures prior to the LCD blacking out and this happening. =(
