When this guy, in say 2050, thinks of May 2007 - what will he recall?

Whatever legacies his mother saved.

He will remember May 3, 2007 exactly like this. When it comes to the kids, we are making their long term misty water colored memories...

The way they are, is the way they were...

I like the dreamy effect, I would agree and would of removed a tad bit off of his face some. It is just a matter of taste thou, :D

Thanks to both of you. I haven't done a child's portrait for a bunch of years. This is a friend's baby at a carnival. The boy's eyes are so delightful that they called to me to become the emphasis. Unfortunately, his mouth and ear both compete strongly with that emphasis in the original... So I made the executive decision to crank down the many ways they stole the viewer's attention. With that in mind, I'm happy with the image.

BTW... the boy's dad is a well respected police officer, his mom a well liked pharmacist and his grandpop the past mayor of Lancaster. This kid has great bloodlines... He should be a champion, no?
